Liliana had gotten bored on Tumblr and she had switched to reading the latest John Green book, but that wasn’t catching her attention either. She had this nagging sense that something was going on downstairs and she decided to check it out. Once she hoped off the end of the flight of stairs, Lil made her way to the kitchen where she saw Mason scooping some ice cream for the two of them. “I knew it,” she said with a knowing smirk. Her older brother turned to her and grinned, raising an eyebrow questionably. “I knew something was going on down here. I don’t know how I do it, but I always seem to know when it’s brother sister late night ice cream party time.” She had missed her brother, truth was they hadn’t really spent a lot of time together lately, and she really regretted that. So now, as Liliana hoped up to her usual spot on the counter near the sink, she grabbed her designated bowl and pulled open the drawer below her, picking out a fork and a spoon. “Here ya go, Masey.” She gave him the spoon, keeping the fork for herself and dug in. “So…how was the date?” Lil spoke with a mouth full of ice cream. “I want details. Spill. All. Now!”

“Don’t you always?” he questioned with a smirk. Taking the spoon from her, he took a scoop off the ice cream and had his first bite. He always laughed when Liliana ate ice cream with a fork. It was different, but then again… so was Lil. Chuckling, he looked down at his bowl. “No, ‘Hi Mason, how are you’? You just dive right into the interrogation? I see how it is,” he said, shooting his sister a playful glare as he took another bite of ice cream. “It was good actually… really good. She met Valerie. She really likes her,” he said, his thoughts a bit distant.

“Anything and everything.” she giggled raising a brow, “Like I like to sing and dance, oh and I also like cheer!” she informed him, as she carefully set Val on the counter before she washed her hands, “What’s your favorite movie?” she asked turning the faucet off and drying her hands, opening the bag of flour she smiled and threw a small amount at Mason before letting out a laugh and picking up Val again. She seemed to really like his daughter, although she wonders what happened to her mom, she didn’t want to be rude by asking.

Chuckling, he watched as Valerie took advantage of being set on the counter by thumping the spoon against the countertop, high-pitched squeals escaping her mouth. “I saw that video you posted. You’re really good,” he complimented. “Are you doing glee club?” After she had finished drying her hands and stepped away from the sink, Mason did the same. Flinching away as she flicked flour at him, he laughed. “Well…”, he started. “I do like to get payback,” Mason stated, flicking flour back at her on the last word.
